"More people will see the value of investing in a living nature"

After a close vote in the European Parliament, the EU's controversial proposal on nature restoration has finally been adopted, despite strong opposition from right-wing parties. With 336 votes to 300, the Parliament passed the proposal, which now marks the start of negotiations with EU member states. Despite some compromises and continued challenges, this is an important message, says Ecogain CEO Katarina Walter.

Important step to help more people see the business value of investing in biodiversity

The sustainable restoration of a resilient and biodiverse natural environment is necessary for our entire existence, science agrees. But critics have expressed concerns about the law's impact on the economy and the need for further improvements.
